Chestnut Lemon Oil temelji na olju limonske trave. Je prozoren premaz - zelo redka tekočina, z izredno nizko vsebnostjo trdnih delcev. Ne glede na to, koliko ga nanesete, se na površini ne bo nabral opazen oljni film. Namesto tega se vpije in - pri še svežem lesu, pomaga nadomestiti vsebnost vode v materialu, kar lahko pripomore k manj pokanja pri sušenju izdelka.

Običajno se nanaša s čopičem ali krpo in je zelo enostaven za uporabo.

In kot bi lahko pričakovali, ima tudi prijetno aromo limone, čeprav ta čez nekaj časa zbledi.

"This oil was recommended in a magazine as one way of getting rid of a musty smell in old furniture. Some time ago I bought an antique wardrobe and chest of drawers in a sale room only to discover that both smelled very musty. I liberally rubbed lemon oil in to the inside of each.....removed the excess after 15mins and left all the doors/drawers open.
